Eric Tarchoune
Founder, Managing Director, HR consultant & Executive Coach
Eric has over 20 years living and working experience in Asia (Singapore, Taiwan and has been in China for over 19 years : Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong).
His areas of expertise include human resources consulting (recruitment, assessment, coaching, leadership and talent development), competitive intelligence, as well as knowledge management for companies operating in China. Furthermore, he benefits from a solid experience in the set-up, development and restructuring of foreign companies and distribution networks in China as well as in sourcing and purchasing.
Prior to founding Dragonfly Group in 2000, he held several management positions in China for European companies in the heavy industry sector (Scandinavian group’s Sandvik), in the light industry (France’s Arc International) as well as in consulting (with Nicholson International from the United Kingdom).
A sinologist by training, Eric is interested in the Chinese world since 1985. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese language and civilisation from the French National Institute of Oriental Studies, a MPhil in International project management and human resources from the French Academy of Arts and Crafts, a diploma in International business management from ESG business school and is graduated from both the Coach U academy (USA & Hong Kong) and Progress U (Shanghai) and is a certified MBTI practioner. Eric is trilingual: fluent in Chinese, English and French.
A world traveller (Eric has visited over 70 countries and territories and worked on assignments in India, Russia, the USA, Europe, Korea and South East Asia) Eric is the Chairman of the HR Committee and a former elected board member and Vice President of the French Chamber of Commerce in China. The China partner of the Praxi Alliance, he is also a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and the Hong Kong International Coaching Community (HKICC).
Furthermore, Eric is a frequent speaker at business organisations as well as at several academic institutions in China and overseas on issues related to HR, & Leadership in China. He is also an in-situ career coach with the University of Hong Kong’s MBA programme (in partnership with London School of Economics & Columbia University).
He contributed to the 50 lessons’ management in China videos and participated in the Harvard Publishing House’s newly released book “Succeeding in China”. He also launched the first research on leadership within French companies operating in China in 2012. |
