Eric Tarchoune
Eric Tarchoune, Managing Director of the consultancy, Dragonfly Group,
has over 17 years living and working experience in Asia (16 years in
China, 3 years in Beijing and more than 13 years in Shanghai where he
currently lives). Prior to founding Dragonfly Group in 2000 (the year
of the Dragon), he held several management positions in China for
European companies in the heavy industry sector (Finno-Swedish group
Tamrock-Sandvik), in the light industry (France's Arc International)
as well as in consulting (with Nicholson International from the United
Kingdom).
His
areas of expertise include human capital and organisation
management, business intelligence, as well as knowledge
management for foreign companies operating in China.
Furthermore,
he benefits from a solid experience in the installation,
development and restructuring of foreign companies
in China as well as in sourcing and purchasing.
A
sinologist by training, he is interested in the
Chinese world since 1986. Eric Tarchoune holds a
Bachelor of Arts in Chinese language and civilisation
from the French National Institute of Oriental Studies,
a MPhil in International project management and
human resources from the French Academy of Arts
and Crafts and a diploma in International business
from ESG, a leading business school in Paris. Eric
Tarchoune is trilingual : fluent in Chinese, English
and French. He is married to a Chinese and has 8
year old boy.
Member
of the Board and former Vice President of the French
Chamber of Commerce in China, he is the founder
of the Competitive Intelligence and Knowledge Management
Working Group of the French Chamber and a frequent
speaker at several institutions such as the Commerce
and Distribution Business school in Paris, the French
Chamber of Commerce in China, the Eurasia Institute,
the Britain-based Leaderquest association, the Foreign
Languages department of Fudan University in Shanghai,
on issues related to human resources, business intelligence
and knowledge management in China.
Eric
Tarchoune’s extensive knowledge of China,
combined with his broad experience in a diverse
range of industries enables him to advise clients
of the Dragonfly Group on relevant
aspects of managing businesses in China.
